So again I was at the NRA table early Saturday morning helping sign-up people for NRA memberships. It started being a bit chilly but that cleared up soon enough. I had feared that rain would keep most away but on the other hand I had pictured having free cruise through the isles of the show... heck maybe pick up some ammo and the upper receiver I've been holding off on.
To my surprise and that of other veteran council members, people started coming out in droves... and they kept coming and coming. The line to buy tickets went to the parking lot and made a hard right continuing for at least 1/3 of a mile for I could tell... HOT DIGGITY! I'm sure we broke some record for membership sign-ups ... again! I left after a couple of hours and as I was perplexed as I was leaving: parking lot was getting full, they had brought out traffic control personnel, the lines of cars were backed up all the way to the freeway at least a good half mile on the northbound side.
Next time I'll get my ammo first ;)
